Additional 500 Hoosiers Diagnosed with COVID-19

In its daily update, the Indiana State Department of Health announced an additional 508 have been diagnosed with COVID-19, as determined through testing from the Indiana State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and private laboratories.

That same report indicates that 13 more Indiana residents have died as a result of COVID-19 bringing the total to 343. Deaths are reported when data is received by the health department.

In all, 42,489 tests have been reported to the Indiana State Department of Health and 7,928 people were positively diagnosed with COVID-19.
Marshall County is now reporting 19 positive cases of COVID-19 out of 217 tests, with nine cases in Starke County out of 98 tests and one in Pulaski County out of 54 tests. St. Joseph County has 192 positive cases of COVID-19, La Porte County has 33, Porter County has 118, Lake County has 744, Kosciusko County has 18, Elkhart County has 83 and Fulton County has three cases. Marion County has the highest number of cases at 2,887.
