Over 500 Additional Hoosiers Diagnosed with COVID-19 in Latest Report

More Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, up 536 cases from Sunday.

The Indiana State Department of Health released the numbers Monday morning through testing at the Indiana State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and private laboratories.  The total number of residents known to have COVID-19 is 4,944. 

A total of 139 Indiana residents have died based the data released by the Indiana State Department of Health. 

The first case of novel coronavirus was recorded on March 6 and the first death was recorded on March 16.

Starke County has four positive cases in 40 tests given while Marshall County is at eight cases with 36 tests given and Pulaski County has one positive case in 32 tests given.  St. Joseph County has recorded 112 positive COVID-19 cases, La Porte County has 21 cases, Porter County has 79 cases, Lake County has 369 cases, Kosciusko County has 14 cases, and Fulton County has three.  Marion County has 1,956 cases of COVID-19.
