Oregon-Davis to Continue Offering Meals for Pickup in June

The Oregon-Davis School Corporation will continue to offer free meals for pickup through the month of June. In this week’s Bobcat Blast newsletter, school officials say they’re offering a Summer Feeding Program until June 26.

Lunch and breakfast will be available for pickup from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Koontz Lake Fire Station, Hamlet Fire Station, and door number four of the junior/senior high school. Distribution has typically been taking place Mondays through Thursdays. There will be no meal pickup on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.

Families are asked to let the school corporation know whether or not they want to continue getting meals by calling 574-867-2111.

The Oregon-Davis School Board Monday accepted the donation of 150 pizza boxes from the Knox Pizza Hut for use in the lunch program, plus a $200 anonymous donation for elementary school lunch funds, according to Education Consultant Jim Dermody.
