Starke County, North Judson-Wayne Township Libraries Planning to Resume Operations

Starke County’s public libraries will start gradually resuming operations Monday. Governor Eric Holcomb’s Back on Track Indiana plan allows libraries to open starting May 4, according to their own policies and CDC guidelines. Both the Starke County Public Library System and the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library will keep their buildings closed to the public for now.

But North Judson-Wayne Township will be open for curbside checkouts from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., according to a post on the library’s Facebook page Saturday. Patrons may request materials by calling 574-896-2841, emailing lib.norjud@gmail.com or messaging the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library Facebook page.

Meanwhile, the Starke County Public Library System announced on Facebook that it will start having staff in its buildings Monday. They’ll focus on getting new materials ready and gathering cleaning supplies, with curbside service planned to start in a few weeks.
