Most Knox Park Facilities Now Open But Some Restrictions Still in Place

Most Knox park facilities are now open, but a few restrictions remain in place. Mayor Dennis Estok says the shelters, playground and exercise equipment, skate park, walking trails, and bathrooms are all open as of Friday. The splash pad is open from noon to 6:00 p.m., but it’s limited to 25 children at a time.

The basketball courts and baseball and softball fields are open for practice and conditioning, but no team competitions are allowed. The dugouts remain closed. Similarly, the pickleball courts are only available for limited use. Drinking fountains remain closed.

Residents are asked not to enter the parks if they have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath. Park users should remain six feet apart. They’re also encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer.
