West Central School Board Approves Reduction in Force

After looking at projected enrollment numbers and finances for the 2020-2021 school year, the West Central School Board members approved a reduction in force, according to Superintendent Dan Zylstra.

“Three teachers have received notification that they will not be employed at West Central next year,” said Zylstra.  “That’s due to declining enrollment that we’ve had, and also just projected revenues.”

Zylstra noted that the school board previously discussed the possibility of reduction in force at their May meeting and acted upon the recommendation last week.
