Starke, Pulaski Counties See Slight Increase in COVID-19 Cases

Starke County and Pulaski County saw a slight increase in positive COVID-19 cases in the latest report from the Indiana State Department of Health.

Starke County saw one additional case to bring the cumulative total to 165 and Pulaski County saw one additional case to bring the cumulative total to 72. 

For the first time in several weeks, Marshall County did not have any new positive COVID-19 cases.  The total count stands at 742.

Marshall County Health Administrator Ashley Garcia told the Marshall County Commissioners on Monday morning that members of the public are responding well to the mask mandate as numbers trend downward in Marshall County. 

No additional local deaths were reported, but there were five more deaths reported in the state over the weekend. 

The Indiana State Department of Health said 582 new cases of COVID-19 were listed in Monday’s report.  There were 6,470 new individuals tested with 8,964 new tests administered.  Those statistics range from June 12 to Aug. 2.
