Sixteen New COVID-19 Cases Reported Locally

There were 16 new COVID-19 cases reported in the tri-county area, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  That information shows seven new cases in Marshall County, six new cases in Starke County and three new cases in Pulaski County.  They are among 2,349 people in the state who have been newly diagnosed with COVID-19. 

No additional deaths were reported. 

The number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state has slightly decreased.  There were 2,634 patients on the Indiana Department of Health’s coronavirus dashboard.

The school coronavirus dashboard shows 4,996 new student COVID-19 cases from July 26 to September 10, 254 new teacher cases from August 7 to September 10, and 397 new staff cases from July 31 to September 10.

There were less than five new student cases of COVID-19 reported last week at Knox Community High School and Elementary School, North Judson-San Pierre Elementary School, Oregon-Davis Junior/Senior High and Elementary Schools, Winamac Middle School, Eastern Pulaski Elementary School, and West Central High School and Elementary School.

Thirteen new student cases of COVID-19 were reported at Winamac High School, seven new student cases at Knox Middle School, and six new cases at North Judson-San Pierre Jr./Sr. High School. 

There were less than five new teacher cases of COVID-19 at Oregon-Davis Elementary School and there were less than five new staff cases of COVID-19 at Knox Middle School, Eastern Pulaski Elementary School.
