State Road 23 and State Road 8 to become Four-Way Stop

Officials at the Indiana Department of Transportation announced Monday that the intersection of State Road 8 and State Road 23 in Starke County will be a four-way stop soon.

The intersection currently features stop signs on State Road 23 where traffic yields to travel on State Road 8.  This new four-way intersection will require all traffic to stop.

The four-way stop will be in effect in early-to-mid May.

Lane closures will be in effect after Monday, April 4 so crews can make the necessary updates to the intersection.  INDOT urges drivers to be especially cautious during this time.
