Affordable Connectivity Program Offers Internet Discount for Eligible Households

Eligible residents have the opportunity to see if a discount is available toward internet service through the Federal Communications Commission benefit program.

The benefit program ensures that households can afford broadband needed for work, school, healthcare, and more.

The benefit provides up to $30 a month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.  Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if more than $10 and less than $50 is contributed toward the purchase price.

A household can qualify through household income, participation in certain government programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, and others.
