The Starke County Convention and Visitors Commission (CVC) recently announced grant opportunities are available to fund upcoming events that promote conventions, visitors and tourism within Starke County.
This may include but is not limited to, advertising, promotional activities, trade shows, special events and recreation. Applications are required and funding requests should be limited to $1,500. This opportunity is expected to be competitive and the decision to fund will be the sole responsibility of the Starke County CVC Board.
Requests for funding operating expenses or salaries will not be considered. Applications close Friday, May 26 and awardees will be notified no later than Friday, June 9.
The next round of funding will be announced later this summer and early fall for distribution in 2024. These funds are available from the Inn Keeper tax which is paid by any person engaged in the business of short term renting of rooms, lodging and accommodations for less than 30 days in Starke County.
