The Starke County Council held a public hearing for the Special Solid Waste Management budget for 2024 during their meeting last week.
The total estimated budget for solid waste is $299,997. The council opened the floor to the public with no comment made. The council then closed the public hearing and stated they will have the Special Solid Waste Management budget up for adoption at their next meeting.
The council then opened another public hearing for the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation 2024 budget. New Superintendent Kelly Shepherd and Corporation Treasurer Dalton Tunis were present at the meeting. It was announced the total budget is estimated at $13,860,675. The floor was opened to the public with no comment given. The council then closed the public hearing and plan to have the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation 2024 budget up for adoption at their next meeting.
