Medaryville Voters to Choose Clerk-Treasurer, Town Council Members Today

Medaryville voters have their choice of clerk-treasurer and town council candidates today. Republican Stacy Conley and Democrat Kendra S. Miller are vying to replace Democrat Judy Harwood as clerk-treasurer. Harwood is challenging incumbent Republicans Ray Saltsman, Robert Schultz, and Suzanna J. Wilcoxon for the three town council seats.

Hamlet May Continue Expanding Sidewalk Network with Next Community Crossings Project

The Hamlet Town Council is looking for its next road project to tackle.

Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts reminded members last week that the next call for projects for the state’s Community Crossings matching grant program is in January. Council President Dave Kesvormas voiced his support for upgrading Division Street from the Town Park north to Davis or Railroad.

Eastern Pulaski School Board Approves $1.2 Million Additional Appropriation

The Eastern Pulaski School Board took action Thursday to fix a shortfall in the school corporation’s Education Fund budget. During a special session, board members approved an additional appropriation, giving school officials permission to spend another $1.2 million beyond what was budgeted for this year. The Education Fund is where teacher salaries are budgeted.
