From Starke County Court Services Director Shawn Mattraw:
“We here at Starke County Court Services, and the Starke Circuit Court, would like to take a moment to recognize, and thank our Pretrial Services staff and Probation Officers, for the important work they do every day to ensure community safety, and their efforts to assist their offenders under Court ordered supervision.
“When we think of people involved with public safety we often think about police officers, firefighters and paramedics and rightfully so, but there are so many behind the scenes people who work with very little notice as well.
“So this week of July 21 through 27, people across the United States and Canada will join together to recognize Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week (P.P.P.S. Week), with the goal of raising awareness about the important work community corrections professionals do for our public safety.”
