Yellowstone Trail Fest Queen Zoe Competes at State Pageant!

On January 9th in Indianapolis, 25 girls representing festivals from across the state of Indiana competed in the Indiana State Festival Association Pageant.

Contestants were judged in 4 areas: Seven-Minute Interview, Festival Spirit Competition, Evening Gown Competition and On Stage question.  The girls were competing for the State title and scholarships.

Representing the Yellowstone Trail Fest drawing the #23 in line was Zoe Seese,17, of Walkerton.  She is a graduate of Oregon Davis High School. Queen Zoe has been promoting the Yellowstone Trail Fest as she has visited  the local fall festivals and parades in Hamlet, Knox, Monterey and Plymouth.  And in the spirit of volunteerism, Zoe has made appearances so far at:  Golden Living Center Family Fun Day and  Bake Sales.  Being the Queen is more than just glamour; it’s about serving your community!  So when Zoe was asked what she thought about competing in the state pageant her comment was ” Having the opportunity to compete in the ISFA pageant is something I will always remember.  Being able to get to know other contestants from different festivals was the best part. The support from the Yellowstone Trail festival committee, my family and friends was truly a blessing.  I love my festival!.”

The Yellowstone Trail fest is held the 3rd weekend, in August – 20 & 21 for 2016; at the Starke County fairgrounds, in Hamlet, Indiana.  They are looking for a few more dedicated volunteers, especially in the technology area. At this facebook page there are several video clips as well, to get a feel for what is expected of a county Queen vying for a State Queen title.  The weekend is very emotional for the girls and very rewarding in the experience which included free make-up and hair done by: Snipps of  Irvington, In.  A service that has been provided since 2005.  Snipps is the recipient of the WRTV 6 A-List “Best Facial” three years in a row as well as  being voted Nuvo magazine’s ”Best Salon” for 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and the Metromix magazine’s “Best salon” for 2010.

The 2016 Yellowstone Pageant will be held in July.  Like the pageant Facebook page for upcoming details https://www.facebook.com/Missyellowstone/ or contact Director Tara Parker atgotpageantry@hotmail.com
