Audrey Jeanne Kinezian

Audrey Jeanne Kinezian, age 76, of Knox passed away at her home Monday, January 20, 2020.

She was born September 7, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Hendrik van den Brink and Marguerite Worn van den Brink, both deceased. She married her most beloved and caring husband, Edward Kinezian on May 23, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by her beloved, attentive and caring daughter, Pamela Jean Turner of De Leon Springs, Florida, her grandchildren, Joshua Patridge and Katie Turner, great grandchildren Madison and Landon Patridge and Wyatt Massey, a brother, Donald van den Brink of Yreka, California, many nieces, nephews, cousins and former sister in law, Holly Vrooman of Syracuse, New York and her “Sister of the Heart” Bonnie Henderson Hicks (Tracy) of Hernando, Florida. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven S. Vrooman, a sister Arlene Sytsma, and her parents.

She is a member and past recording secretary of Our Redeemer Church in Knox, a genealogist for 45 years and was appointed as the first Starke County Genealogist in August of 2011, retiring in 2019. She was a member of the Indiana Genealogical Society, past member of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists, Daughters of the American Revolution, National Genealogical Society and Vice President of the Starke County Genealogical Society. She graduated from the Fenger High School in Chicago and obtained an Associates Degree in Court Reporting from Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois.

Funeral services will take place Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 1:00pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Knox. Burial will follow at Bass Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Knox. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
