Harold W. Woods, Sr., age 81, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Harold was born October 6, 1938 in Thompson, Indiana to Herbert and Olive Conway Woods, both deceased. He had been a member of the Starke County Sheriff’s Posse, was the Owner of Woody’s Lawn Furniture and loved woodworking, he also loved working on and selling bicycles. He loved horses, watching western movies and especially loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Knox. On December 19, 1959 he married Betty Queer, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Teresa Jean Kawaguchi (Bob) of Oregon and Harold William Woods, Jr. (Dee) of Knox, his brothers and sisters, Louise Minix of North Judson, Walter Woods of North Judson, Katheryn Butler of North Judson, Joanie Risner of Knox, Roger Tunis of North Judson, and James Tunis of North Judson, and grandchildren, Jacob Kawaguchi and Harold William “Will” Woods III. He was greeted in glory by his granddaughter Debbie Kawaguchi and a sister, Sue Ann McDaniel.
His funeral service will be live streamed on Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/firstbaptistchurchofknox/ on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 11:00am (CT).
A graveside service will take place at 12:30pm (CT) on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Highland Cemetery in North Judson. Attendees are encouraged to practice social distancing and please refrain from hugging family members. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
