Helen Louise Heise

Helen Louise Heise, age 70, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Louise was born June 4, 1949 in Knox to Curtis Combs and Maggie Shepherd Combs, both deceased. Louise worked for 35 plus years in banking, retiring from the First National Bank of Monterey. She also owned and operated the Melody Drive-In Theatre at Bass Lake with her husband Fred since 1970. The theatre was not just a business to her, it was her hobby and her love, it is where she enjoyed greeting movie goers, visiting with old friends, and making new friends. The workers at the theatre were her extended family. She felt the same way about Victory Christian Church, everyone there was family to her. She also loved to crochet and spend time with her family, especially the grandkids. On March 21, 1970 she married Fred Heise, he survives. Also surviving are her children, Tricia Powless (Jeff) of Indianapolis, Freddy Heise (Natalie) of Knox, and Janet Brown of Iowa, her siblings, Denver Combs of Georgia and Mavis Campbell of Ohio, and her seven grandchildren, Justin, Clark and Brooke Powless and Ryan, Aaron, Evan and Melody Heise. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
