Kenneth Lee Feig
Aug. 7, 1936- Sept. 26, 2018 

Kenny, 82 of Monterey passed away September 26, 2018 in Belding Michigan while receiving in home hospice services for his long fight with prostate cancer.
He was born in Cook County IL., on Aug 7, 1936 to Leila (Watrous) Feig and Oscar Feig (both deceased) of Bass Station. 
Kenny married his wife of 55 years, Betty Lou (Thompson) Feig in 1960. She proceeded him in 2015. He is also survived by their two children Dorothy (Tom) Chambers, of Belding MI and  Timothy ( Fabiola) Feig of Prescott Arizonia. He also has six grandchildren Challis(Adam)Woods, Nikita Feig, Jared (Elizabeth) Chambers, Cheyenne Feig, Kelsey (Emmanuel) Witherspoon, Diego Feig and 8 great grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

  

He is also survived by two brothers James(Judy) Feig and Robert (Pam) Feig.  He has a brother and sister in law also surviving and many nieces and nephews. He and Betty helped to raise Betty’s nieces Colleen (Danti)  and Rebecca (Budzinski) They remained especially close to him and Rebecca helped him get thru his chemo and radiation treatments while staying in his own home, which was so important to him.   

Kenny worked hard all of his life, farming, driving truck, and working as a mechanic.  He did become disabled while working in 1986. He was always busy, having a huge garden every year and helping Betty can and freeze the bounty. He loved to share his fresh food with others.  

Kenny loved to play dominoes and do puzzles, and enjoyed old cars, steam engines, trains and tractors, especially the Green and Yellow ones that run like a deere. He was an involved and loving grandpa and great grandpa. His grandchildren all adored him.  

He and Betty were very active in their Knox Community SDA church, where he served as an Elder for many years. He also enjoyed attending Heights church in Arizonia and Tribes church in Michigan.  He had a love of all kinds of music but especially Southern Gospel.  Kenny had a strong faith and belief in the Second Coming of Jesus.   

Kenny fulfilled his life long dream of seeing Alaska with his children on a cruise in September this year. He said many times “Praise God we are in Alaska” He passed peacefully in the arms of both of his children 3 days upon his return from the cruise.   

A memorial and Lunch celebrating Kenny’s life will be held this Sunday, November 18 at 11am  EST at the Knox Community SDA church at 5035E 800S Monterey.
