Robina M. McGrory, age 83, of Knox, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 27, 2018.
Robina was born November 4, 1935 in Grangemouth, Scotland to Neil Molloy and Anne Boyle Molloy, both deceased. She had worked as a telephone operator for Illinois Bell for over 20 years before retiring. On October 15, 1955, in Chicago, she married James McGrory, he survives.
Also surviving are her children, Celine Boers (Dale) of Chicago, Mary Borowy (Thomas) of Hobart, IN, Jim McGrory of Plymouth, IN, and Sheila Martin (Patrick) of Beaverton, OR, two sisters, Anne Allison and Mary Hargreaves, both of Scotland, her grandchildren, Kevin, Sean and Meaghan, Ryan and Neil, Kathryn, Matthew and Alison, Margaret, Molly and Kyle, a great-grandson, Jackson, and a sister-in-law, Celeine Molloy of Scotland. She was preceded in death by her brother, Neil Molloy.
Visitation will take place Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 1 to 5 pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 10 am (CT) at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Knox. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, friends and family will gather in front of the cemetery office at 1 pm (CT) at 801 Michigan City Rd., Calumet City, IL 60409.
