Roy Allen McCarty, age 58, of Knox, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. Roy was born on October 22, 1962 in Knox to James A. McCarty and Ellis Wagers McCarty, both deceased. He is survived by his children, Justice Wade Duszynski of Walkerton, Derrik Lee Duszynski of Walkerton, Andrea Nichole Scott of Monterey and Shaila Marie McCarty of Culver, brothers and sisters, Vivian Diane McCarty Olsen of North Judson, Michelle McCarty Pitts (Kirk) of North Judson, James Mitchum McCarty (Melinda) of Knox, and Phillip Wade McCarty of Knox and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosalind Davis. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 6pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, with the Rev. Bobby Wagner officiating, at the M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
