The approved projects total about $50,000, half of which must be paid by owners of the property, under the terms and conditions of the town’s 50/50 replacement program.

Tax Preparation Appointments Still Available at Library

Slots are still available for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program at the Henry F. Schricker Starke County Public Library branch in Knox. They will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments are available on Wednesdays, March 23rd, 30th and April 6th, which is the final day for the program. Stolen Car Leads to Arrest of Knox Man

An 18-year-old Knox man is jailed in connection with two separate cases. Officers from the Knox Police Department were called to Kruz, Inc. on Culver Road Thursday night to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Police Chief Harold Smith says officers discovered the vehicle was damaged and determined it had been stolen. Continue reading

Pulaski County Revolving Loan Leads to Job Creation

Pulaski County CourthouseThe Pulaski County Commissioners have approved a loan that they hope will create jobs near Francesville.

The company, which owns land where Clear Decision Filtration Operates north of Francesville, has requested a $110-thousand loan to construct a new building. That site would allow the company to expand their production and make it easier for trucks to back-up to their plant.
