Incidents:

09/23/19 A school bus accident was reported 10555 W. State Road 10 in San Pierre. Parents were notified. The driver of the other vehicle complained of pain and refused medical treatment.

09/23/19 A two-vehicle accident was reported at 400 S. and 250 E. in Knox. One vehicle involved was a mail carrier vehicle. No injuries were reported.

09/24/19 A Knox resident told police that locks have been snapped off the barn from unknown subject(s) that came onto the property.

09/25/19 Officials from the Knoll Brothers gas station notified officers that a semi driver took off from one of the pumps with two fuel lines connected to his truck. Damage was estimated at $132 each.

09/25/19 A car vs. deer accident was reported at 1100 W. 650 S. in San Pierre.

09/25/19 A contractor told police that tools were stolen from the job site.

09/25/19 A vehicle fire occurred at 700 North and U.S. 35 in Hamlet.

09/26/19 An unknown person reportedly cut the metal fence around an electric substation and gained access. Approximately 50 feet of bare copper was cut from a wire spool and 50 feet of coated copper was cut from a wire spool. Small areas of wire was cut and removed from around the substation.

09/26/19 A Knox resident reported the theft of vehicle.

09/26/19 A Starke County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to the scene of a car that was in a ditch around 700 E. and State Road 8 in Knox. According to the officer, the driver was traveling southbound on 700 East just south of State Road 8 when he coughed and it caused him to slide off the road and into the ditch.

09/26/19 A North Judson landlord told police that a renter stole $8,000 in cabinets from the rental home.

09/26/19 A Knox resident told dispatchers that a vehicle was damaged while parked home when the owner was not home.

09/27/19 An inmate from the Elkhart County Jail told Starke County dispatchers that a vehicle was stolen from a residence in Koontz Lake that belongs to his sister.

09/27/19 A car vs. deer accident was reported on 400 S.

09/27/19 A car vs. deer accident was reported on 600 N. 1.5 miles east of State Road 23.

09/28/19 A North Judson resident reported the theft of a lawnmower.

09/28/19 A Walkerton resident reported multiple tools stolen.

09/28/19 Jim Runkle from North Judson was reported missing. His truck was later found in western Illinois and in Minnesota.

09/29/19 A North Judson woman told dispatchers that she was watching surveillance cameras at her house and she could see someone pushing her lawnmower out of her garage.

09/29/19 A vehicle was found in the ditch at County Road 210 and U.S. 35 in Knox. The driver was having difficulty in getting out of the vehicle.

09/29/19 A North Judson resident told dispatchers that some unknown person attempted to steal of golf cart.

09/29/19 A vehicle was reported in the ditch on State Road 8 West of State Road 39. One person reportedly failed a sobriety test at the scene.

09/29/19 A Knox resident alerted police that subjects were attempting to get into a vacant residence.
