8/9/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Hamlet Fire Department responded to a motorcycle v. deer injury accident in the 4700 block of east 800 North in Hamlet.
8/9/16 – An Arizona resident who owns property in Knox advised one of his renters forged signatures on documents for court in his absence. Eviction proceedings are ongoing, and another family member is taking care of the proceedings.
8/9/16 – A Koontz Lake resident reported fraudulent charges and cash withdrawals on a credit card account.
8/10/16 – A resident in the 11800 block of east Division Road in Knox reported two chain saws missing.
8/10/16 – A vehicle versus deer property damage accident was reported in the 9000 block of 300 North in Grovertown.
8/11/16 – A resident in the 2600 block of West Second Ave. in North Judson reported the theft of a Ruger .357 revolver from his house.
8/11/16 – A resident in the 11300 block of Dakota in Walkerton reported the theft of a 2002 black Ford Explorer with no plates by a known suspect and advised the person left behind a 4-wheeler.
8/11/16 – A resident in the 4900 block of east 150 North in Knox reported an attempted residential break in the previous night and stated someone had also been in her car.
8/11/16 – A resident in the 8800 block of east 700 North reported someone broke into her residence and stole her camera and the battery and charger.
8/12/16 – A North Judson resident reported receiving threatening text messages.
8/12/16 – A resident in the 8000 block of Tippecanoe Drive North in Walkerton reported the theft of a debit card.
8/12/16 – A vehicle versus tree accident was reported in the 8700 block of east 700 South in Knox. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at less than $1,000.
8/13/16 – A vehicle versus deer property damage accident was reported in the 1400 block of south State Road 39 in Knox.
8/13/16 – A resident in the 6800 block of south 375 West in North Judson reported the theft of a small safe from his residence and also advised someone stole a Chevy S10 pickup truck that did not run and had flat tires.
8/13/16 – A property damage accident was reported in the 1000 block of east 500 South in Knox after a vehicle backed into a motorcycle.
8/15/16 – A motorist reported being run off the road into a mint field by a semi on U.S. 35 and 900 North in Grovertown and complained of injuries. The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Hamlet Fire Department all responded.
8/15/16 – A contractor building a house in the 7300 block of north Tecumseh Road in Walkerton advised someone broke in during the night, stole all of his tools and damaged the residence.
8/15/16 – A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported at the intersection of State Road 8 and State Road 23 in Knox.
8/16/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Washington Township Fire Department all responded to the 9600 block of east State Road 8 in Knox, where a large tree fell on a garbage truck, causing unspecified injuries.
8/16/16 – A slide-off with no vehicle damage was reported on 550 East south of 200 South in Knox.
8/16/16 – A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported at the intersection of 300 East and 500 South in North Judson after a gray Pontiac two-door passenger car reportedly sideswiped another vehicle and left.
8/16/16 – Very loud fireworks were reported in the 1600 block of east 250 South in Knox.

8/17/16 – A resident in the 1400 block of west 400 South in North Judson reported a 23-year-old male has been breaking into her 17-year-old daughter’s window.
8/17/16 – A property damage accident was reported on U.S. 35 north of 800 South in Knox.
8/17/16 – Vandalism was reported at Round Lake Cemetery in Knox, and extra patrol was requested.
8/16/16 – A vehicle versus turkey property damage accident was reported at the intersection of State Road 39 and 50 South in Knox.
8/19/16 – A resident in the 4800 block of South Cranberry Lane in Knox reported her pontoon boat stolen.
8/19/16 – A resident in the 8200 block of east 400 North in Knox reported the theft of two guns.
8/19/16 – The owner of a house in the 8300 block of South U.S. 421 reported a home that is in foreclosure reported it has been broken into.
8/19/16 – A caller reported 4-wheelers being operated by youngsters between the ages of 10 and 12 drag racing in the area of 250 North east of U.S. 35 and advised it happens frequently. A second incident was reported later in the same location, at in the Stelrema and John Deere parking lots.
8/20/16 – A resident in the 1600 block of west 450 S. reported the recent theft of kayaks from his yard.
8/20/16 – A resident in the 4400 block of south Dawn East Drive in North Judson reported the theft of speakers and an amp.
8/20/16 – A resident in the 2100 block of north 1025 East reported a neighbor has been shooting his gun and hit her barn.
8/21/16 – A resident in the 600 block of east 500 South in Knox advised his mailbox was damaged overnight and a phone box cover is laying over to the east of the driveway. He also said someone was shining a light into his son’s window between 2 and 3 a.m.
8/21/16 – A woman advised her daughter went into the Family Dollar store in Knox around 9 a.m. and was approached by a man who asked if she liked puppies and wanted to go out to his car to see the puppy he had there. The woman’s daughter said no and left the store, and the man also left and drove away. He was wearing a hoodie, a hat and sunglasses and drove off in a small, older model black car playing loud music.
8/21/16 – Drug paraphernalia consistent with heroin use was located on 100 West along the walking trail in North Judson.
8/21/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Bass Lake Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident on State Road 10 before Bass Lake Beach in Knox. The caller advised a vehicle pulling a pontoon boat with two people in the back flipped over. While on the telephone with dispatchers the caller advised the people got out from under the boat and said they are not injured.
8/21/16 – An employee at Larry’s Marine in Knox advised someone is putting tires and stuff in their dumpster and said they have video of it.
8/22/16 – A vehicle versus deer property damage accident was reported in the 6300 block of south Rannells Road West in Knox.
8/22/16 – The owner of the Country Roads Bar and Grill in Walkerton reported the theft of his 2004 Corvette.
8/22/16 – A resident in the 7300 block of south 250 West in North Judson reported his vehicle was broken into the previous night, and his wallet and keys were stolen.
8/22/16 – The owner of Preferred Flooring in Toto reported unauthorized trash dumping at their business and advised they have information about the suspect.
8/22/16 – A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported at the intersection of 150 South and 200 East in Knox.
8/23/16 – A single-vehicle property damage accident was reported at the intersection of 750 North and 825 East in Knox. The owner did not want a report.
8/23/16 – A caller in the 2600 block of south U.S. 35 reportedly found drugs behind the building.
8/23/16 – A resident in the 8900 block of south Birch Street in Monterey reported her license plate was stolen from her vehicle and was replaced with a dealer plate.

8/24/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office assisted with a home search at the intersection of 790 North and 625 East in Pulaski County reference possible drug activity.
8/24/16 – A resident in the 1700 block of West Dawn Drive in North Judson reported damage to the garage by a known person.
8/24/16 – A resident in the 10900 block of east Mohawk in Walkerton reported a neighbor ran over his garbage can.
8/25/16 – A property damage accident was reported on State Road 39 north of State Road 8 in Knox, where a tree fell on a semi.

8/25/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office and North Judson Police Department responded to a vehicle versus mailbox property damage crash on 39 North 1.5 miles south of Toto Road.
8/26/16 – The owner of property on 50 South .25 miles east of State Road 23 advised someone cut the fence on his property and his animals have gotten out.
8/26/16 – A slide-off accident with no damage or injuries was reported on U.S. 35 at 50 South in Knox.
8/27/16 – A single-vehicle property damage accident was reported on U.S. 35 between 500 North and U.S. 35.

8/27/16 – A resident in the 500 block of east 400 South in North Judson reported a known suspect broke the windshield of her car and is removing items.
