2/22/16 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported at the intersection of State Road 10 and 100 East in Knox.

2/22/16 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported on State Road 39 south of State Road 8 in Knox.

2/22/16 – A resident in the 1500 block of west 250 South in North Judson reported someone intentionally ran over a mailbox.

2/22/16 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported on U.S. 35 in front of Bowlaway Lanes in Knox.

2/22/16 – Tools and job site equipment were reported stolen from a new construction site in the 2000 block of east 250 South in Knox.

2/22/16 – A truck driver reported being stopped by a train on 300 East at Division Road in the Knox Industrial Park for over an hour. He advised between eight and 10 other semis are waiting to get through. Norfolk Southern was contacted and advised they are trying to get the train up and running.

2/23/16 – A single vehicle property damage accident was reported at the intersection of English Lake Road and 400 South.

2/23/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and Koontz Lake Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries in the 10200 block of East State Road 23 in Walkerton.

2/24/16 – A vehicle versus sign property damage accident was reported in the 4900 block of North Ohio Street in Grovertown.

2/24/16 – A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported in the 7400 block of North Tecumseh Rd. in Walkerton.

2/24/16 – A slide-off was reported in the 6800 block of East Frontage Road in Hamlet near Hensler’s Nursery.

2/25/16 – The owner of a small engine repair shop in the 10200 block of east State Road 8 in Knox reported someone dropped off a boat and hit a vehicle.

2/26/16 – A Knox resident reported fraudulent listings on South Bend Craigslist. The poster reportedly is using her son’s name, address and cell phone number, and she advised some of the callers are being rude about the situation.

2/26/16 – The owner of a business on U.S. 30 in Hamlet reported receiving two telephone calls from 844-523-9869. The caller claimed to be with NIPSCO, threatened to shut off service due to non-payment and demanded money immediately. She spoke to her boss and called NIPSCO and was advised this was a scam.

2/26/16 – An official with the KL Supermarket in Koontz Lake reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be with NIPSCO telling him to pay a certain amount or have his service suspended. He contacted NIPSCO and was advised it was a scam. He did not send any money but wanted to make authorities aware of the call.

2/26/16 – A Knox resident reportedly received a call from a man claiming to be from the IRS and saying she owed $2,400 in back taxes from 2010. He called from telephone number 703-743-7978, said his name was Jason White and spoke with a broken accent.

2/26/16 – A resident in the 1700 block of South 1200 East in Culver reported the theft of a generator.

2/26/16 – A resident in the 7700 block of North State Road 23 reported receiving a telephone call from NIPSCO requesting money or her service would be disconnected. She advised they paid the money then called NIPSCO and was told it was a scam.

2/26/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Hamlet Fire Department, Hamlet Police Department and Starke County EMS responded to a report of a vehicle rollover on U.S. 30 and 1100 East in Hamlet.

2/26/16 – The Starke County Sheriff’s Office, Starke County EMS and North Judson Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle on fire on 400 South near 100 West in North Judson.

2/26/16 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported in the 900 block of south 1025 East in Knox.

2/26/16 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported in the 5000 block of east 200 South in Knox.

2/27/16 – The owner of property in the 4900 block of south 260 West in North Judson reported six snowmobiles trespassing on his property. A sheriff’s deputy gave the drivers a verbal trespass warning.

2/27/16 – A single-vehicle property damage accident was reported on State Road 10 at 300 East in Knox.

2/27/16 – A vehicle versus deer crash was reported on Toto Road west of 350 East in Knox.

2/28/16 – A resident in the 300 block of North State Road 23 in Knox reported the neighbors shooting pistols behind their residence and advised they are not supposed to be.

2/28/16 – A middle school student reported being harassed by a known suspect on Snap Chat and social media.

2/28/16 – A Knox resident reported receiving harassing text messages and calls from her daughter’s ex.

2/22/16 – Sierra Michelle Brown, 21, Knox – Dealing in cocaine or a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

2/26/16 – Shypeakca Latricia Christmas, 21, Gary – Possession of marijuana.
