Incidents:

05/14/18 Norfolk Southern crews told police of a railroad crossing with lights on and arms up.

05/14/18 A resident told police that a bag on his property had drug paraphernalia in it. The bag was found on 1100 E. north of 150 N. in Starke County.

05/14/18 A Grovertown resident reported the theft of cash. The suspect was confronted and ran into the woods.

05/14/18 A North Judson resident reported tools stolen from his home on Dawn Drive.

05/14/18 A car vs. tree accident was reported in the 8200 block of S. Pear Street in Monterey.

05/15/18 A two car accident was reported on U.S. 30 in the eastbound lanes east of Hamlet. No injuries were reported.

05/15/18 A Knox resident complained of two Jeeps driving and tearing up fields in the area of 350 S. One Jeep was stuck on the side of the road at the stop sign.

05/15/18 A Knox resident told police that a vehicle pulled up next to him and an occupant broke his window.

05/15/18 A Knox resident told police that his neighbor’s dog was loose and almost attacked people walking down the road. The owner was provided a verbal warning and advised he would be issued a citation per the county’s ordinance if there are any more problems.

05/16/18 Dollar General employees told police that a man was outside of the store selling items. He was previously told to leave the area several times.

05/17/18 Deputies notified dispatch that they would be assisting Child Protective Services with removing children from a residence.

05/17/18 A Knox resident told police that items were stolen from his pole barn.

05/18/18 A vehicle rollover accident was reported in the 4400 block of north 600 E. in Knox. One injury was reported.

05/18/18 An Ora resident asked to speak to police about a person trespassing and scrapping on a property on Amo Street.

05/19/18 North Judson Police were called to a fight at the Pit Stop in North Judson.

05/19/18 A resident asked police to arrive at Sporty’s Bar at Bass Lake in the back lot for a small fender bender. There were no injuries.

05/19/18 Officers were called to check out a hallowed-out hand grenade that was found in a garage on 350 S. in Knox.

05/19/18 A woman who lives on State Road 8 told police that he saw a man in a dark grey hoodie in her car. She said she yelled at him and he ran away.

05/20/18 A Knox resident police that someone ran through his fence in the 8900 block of E. 25 N. in Knox and the vehicle is still in the yard. An ambulance is not needed.

05/14/18 Timothy Dominiack, 44, of Walkerton was arrested on preliminary charges of public intoxication and battery.

05/15/18 Kmauri Collier, 20, of Michigan City, arrested on a misdemeanor arrest warrant.

05/15/18 Joshua Coman, 21, of Rochester, arrested on a misdemeanor arrest warrant.

05/15/18 Jacob Hanselman, 36, of Knox, arrested and being held for Starke County Community Corrections.

05/15/18 James Gilbert, 39, of Knox, arrested on preliminary charges of disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.

05/17/18 Willis Northcutt III, 40, of Plymouth, arrested on a felony arrest warrant.

05/18/18 Joseph Pastorcik, 36, of Valparaiso, arrested on unknown charges.

05/18/18 David Salyer, 49, of Grovertown, arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle with a BAC of .08 or more.

05/20/18 Dustin Walker, 36, of Knox arrested on a preliminary charge of battery.

05/20/18 George Mikkelsen, 36, of Hammond, arrested on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, possession paraphernalia, driving while suspended, and operator never licensed. He is being held for Lake County.
