Register Now for Computer Classes Offered by the SCILL Center

 The SCILL Center is offering computer classes.

The first class will be on Tuesday, March 18 at 5 p.m. CT at the Starke County Economic Development Foundation in Knox. This will be an introductory class where students will learn computer software; terminology; using the mouse; selecting, inserting, deleting, saving, opening, and printing documents; creating folders, movement between windows, customizing a desktop and more.

SCILL Center Classes Still Available

Though classes have already started, it’s still not too late to sign up. Several openings are still available for the computer classes offered at the SCILL Center, which are open to the public and area businesses. Classes will be offered from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., with a cost of $40. A minimum of six people are required for each session.

SCILL Center to Offer Computer Classes

SCILL Center Director, Jerry Gurrado, says four computer classes will be offered this month.

“There’s a great need for it and we got the opportunity to put them together and we’re very excited,” said Gurrado.  “A lady by the name of Janet Stout is going to be the instructor.  She’s instructed for us before and she’s just absolutely fabulous.”
