Pro Bowler and PBA Hall of Fame Member, Mike Aulby, was in Knox last night to help support the Junior Achievement organization in a Bowl-a-Thon event at Bowlaway Lanes.

There were several teams that participated in the event, including the WKVI Men’s and Women’s teams. Each team won a game, but the Women’s team won in series points by 23 pins. Several door prizes were given out and a game of chance was won by Tom Berg. The WKVI Men’s team brought in the most in pledges with $380.

Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon this Wednesday; Pro Bowler Mike Aulby to Make Appearance

The Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon is this Wednesday, April 11th at 6:00 p.m. CT, at Bowlaway Lanes in Knox where native Hoosier and Hall of Fame Pro Bowler, Mike Aulby, will be in attendance to sign autographs and help cheer on the teams in the tournament.

Junior Achievement Board President, Bridget Markin, says there are great teams already signed up and there is room for three more five-member teams.

Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon Gathers $4,500

WKVI Men's Team: Lenny Dessauer, Kim Hall, Pat Dunn, Tom Berg and Jerry Foust

The Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon at Bowlaway Lanes in Knox brought in approximately $4,500 Wednesday for the organization, thanks to pledges gathered by the five-member teams bowling from Starke and Pulaski Counties.

WKVI Women's Team: Valda Wielgos, Glenna Hahn, Bobbie Hoover, Norma Heise and Anita Goodan

All bowlers had a great time with some winning door prizes and other chances to win prizes during Wednesday’s fundraiser. Niki Clemons, Bridget Markin, and all involved with Junior Achievement did a great job planning the event. The WKVI Men’s and Women’s teams participated in the two game event with each team winning a game.
