Seven Knox High School Students Directed to Quarantine After Staff Member Tests Positive for COVID-19

Less than two weeks into the school year, the Knox Community School Corporation has reported its first case of COVID-19. Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart says one staff member at the high school is home recovering after testing positive, while two other staff members and seven students who may have been exposed were sent home Monday to quarantine.

Knox School Board Accepts $300,000 Donation for High School Track Renovation

The Knox School Board Tuesday accepted what Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart called “a once-in-a-lifetime gift.” An anonymous donor has given the school corporation $300,000 to rebuild the high school track. “This donor had heard that we were going to redo the track,” Reichhart explained, “and the donor had run track for Knox and wanted to do something to give back to Knox and to the Redskin community.”

Knox Teacher Voices Concern with COVID-19 Reopening Planning Process

A Knox High School teacher is voicing concern with the development of the school corporation’s COVID-19 reopening plan. Maria Sullivan told the school board last week that she and others had major concerns but weren’t given much of a chance to offer input.
