North Judson Town Council Discusses Stellar Pathways Program

The North Judson Town Council discussed the Stellar Pathways program during their meeting Monday.

Stellar Pathways is based around the Stellar Communities program, which was paused in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Overseen by Indiana Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, the Stellar Pathways program is a multi-year, multi-million-dollar initiative led by OCRA. The program works with communities in a self-determined region on a shared vision for community and economic development, promotes local and regional partnerships, and assists in implementing sustainable solutions to challenges Indiana’s rural communities face.

Eligible participants include a county government or a county-wide non-profit in partnership with at least one municipality. Those considered a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development entitlement community are not eligible. The deadline to submit the required documentation to be eligible for the program was May 1.

During the North Judson Town Council meeting Monday, it was announced the Town of North Judson has not heard if they are a finalist or not for the Stellar Pathways program. North Judson Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe told WKVI News, they are expecting to find out if they are a finalist by the end of June. He added the council should know by their next meeting in July.
