TRAVEL ADVISORY MAP BY COUNTY

 Travel Advisory Levels

  • Warning
    • The highest level of local travel advisory means that travel may be restricted to emergency management workers only. During a “warning” local travel advisory, individuals are directed to:
      • (A) refrain from all travel;
      • (B) comply with necessary emergency measures;
      • (C) cooperate with public officials and disaster services forces in executing emergency operations plans; and
      • (D) obey and comply with the lawful directions of properly identified officers.
  • Watch
    • Means that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. During a “watch” local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended, and emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations.
  • Advisory
    • The lowest level of local travel advisory means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.

For Indiana road conditions call 1- 800-261-7623, or visit the Indiana Department of Transportation’s website at www.trafficwise.in.gov. Please do not call dispatch centers for road conditions. Telecommunications operators will be extremely busy dispatching equipment and personnel to motorists requiring emergency assistance.

SCHOOL DELAYS

8/12/26 – Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation will be operating under a 2-hour delay due to road conditions after storms. Due to the delay, EPCSC will NOT have early dismissal tomorrow; but the elementary school will dismiss at 3:05, and Winamac Middle and High School will dismiss at 3:20.

8/12/26 – Knox Community School Corporation is operating under a 2-hour delay due to road conditions after storms. There will be no AM Preschool, no SCYC Morning Care, and no AM Vocational class at the High School.

8/12/26 – North Judson San Pierre School Corporation is operating under a 2-hour delay due to road conditions after storms.

8/12/26 – Oregon-Davis School Corporation is operating under a 2-hour delay due to road conditions after storms.
