Funeral services for 75-year-old David Vieting, of Hamlet, will be Thursday, May 23 at 11 a.m. CDT at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel with visitation there on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the service. Patty L. Ford

Patty L. Ford passed away peacefully on May 15, 2019 at Pulaski Center Health Care Center in Winamac, In.

Patty was a member of the North Judson United Methodist Church and served as treasurer for many years. She enjoyed reading and she was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Surviving are four daughters, Diana (David) Vermilyer, Vicki (Dale) Sturgell, Linda (Lance) Lewandowski, Karen Ford and one son, Steve Ford. Patty is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 46 great grand-children and 8 great, great grandchildren. Her greatest joy was attending all the activities of her grandchildren as they were growing up.

50-year-old Tony Wagers of Plymouth passed away Monday, May 13, 2019. A memorial service will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. CDT at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Dolly (Kajer) Minarik

(Dolly) LaVerne Minarik went to be with the Lord on May 12th, 2019 at the age of 94, in her sleep at Life Care Center, Rochester Indiana. Dolly was born on March 31st, 1925 at Cook County Hospital in Chicago Illinois to Frank and Julia Kajer. Dolly was married to Joseph Minarik on September 23rd, 1946 in Tennessee, was a housewife and helped on the family farm.

Raymond C. Christian

Raymond Curtis Christian, 76, of North Judson, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend surrounded by his family. He was born on July 18, 1942 in Lamar County, Alabama to Noble and Mary Francis (McCool) Christian. He was married on September 16, 1984 in North Judson to Susan Liechty, a former resident of Berne.

At an early age, the family moved to Warsaw and he graduated from Warsaw High School in 1961. During his high school career, he participated in band and also ran cross country. Continue reading

Friends will be received 9 AM until the time of service at 11 AM, Thursday, May 16, at the Braman & Bailey Funeral Home, North Judson, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.

Bonnie Stella Ann Galen

Bonnie Stella Ann Galen,75, passed away in the early morning of Friday, May 3, 2019.

Born in Chicago on June 19, 1943 to James and Loretta (Arnswald) Alexa, Bonnie has been a Knox resident for greater than 10 years. Bonnie married Clarence S. Galen on February 8, 1964 in Matteson, IL. She worked as a cashier in financial institutions most of her life.

Bowling and traveling were some of Bonnie’s favorite activities, but the most joy was spent in time with her grandchildren. Bonnie also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Continue reading

Geraldine Ann “Gerri” Jackson

Geraldine Ann “Gerri” Jackson, age 90, of Knox, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her home. Gerri was born July 18, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter Theiss and Helen Steiner Theiss, both deceased. She retired from Starke Memorial Hospital after 13 years in Central Supply. She enjoyed being a military wife, especially all of the travel, she loved cooking and even made cook books for her family, and loved anything to do with crafts, including quilting and sewing, making many homemade gifts for her family members. She was a devout member of the New Hope Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday School. Continue reading

Margaret Ann Stryck, age 81, of North Judson, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019. Margaret was born February 26, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Aloysius and Rose Sroczynski Stryck, both deceased. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Bryan Stryck, Glenn Stryck, Dean Stryck (Lynn) and Mitchell Stryck (Lisa), Angela Stryck, Mary Stryck and Lisa Gold (Scott), great nephews, Ryan Stryck and Sam Gold. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Stryck (Anna) and Al Stryck, and a nephew, Nolan Gold.
