Today is the first day to file for candidacy in the 2011 Municipal Election. Knox Mayor, Rick Chambers, announced that he is seeking another term in office.
“Today, I would like to announce my candidacy for election as Knox Mayor,” he stated. “It has been a privilege serving the citizens of Knox. Working with the Common Council, we have solved many issues in the past three years. I am fortunate to have great leaders in our Department Heads, as well as our employees to assist them. It is rewarding to work with the different committees that I sit on and I especially enjoy working with Mr. Weaver, Director of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation. I gain knowledge from every meeting that I have with the County Councilman and the County Commissioners.”
