The Eastern Pulaski School Board members discussed textbook rental fees and cafeteria prices for the 2011-2012 school year at their recent meeting.
“In looking at the adoptions we’re going make this year and the adoptions we didn’t make last year, we felt that it is possible for us to freeze our textbook rental fee for next year,” said Superintendent Dr. Robert Klitzman. “The last time we raised out textbook fee was the 2008-2009 school year so we’ve been able to hold the line pretty well. Our textbook fees for next year will be $85.00, plus $5.00 for the Handbook.”
Not much will change with cafeteria prices for the next school year.
“The last time we raised those prices was in the 2008-2009 school year. In looking at the trends and how we’ve been doing our Co-op purchasing and some things we’ve done with staffing, we feel we can keep our cafeteria prices where they are for another year. Prices would be $1.50 for student meals and $2.00 for adult meals. I would think those figures compare very favorably with others in the area.”
