The third annual Ancilla College Triathlon was held Saturday morning on the Donaldson campus.
The swimming, biking, and running event attracted over 100 competitors from throughout the Midwest and beyond.
Organizer, Todd Zeltwanger, told WKVI’s Ted Hayes why the school promotes such an event.
“We wanted to have an event that would get people onto our campus,” said Zeltwanger. “We’re kind of hidden back here off of U.S. 30, a lot of people see our signs but they never come here. Now that we’re getting people onto this campus, many say it’s beautiful and they want to come back. They didn’t know we had this back here. That was one of the reasons. The money raised will go to help our students with their educational expenses here at the college.”
