The Knox City Police Department arrested three on methamphetamine related charges after a meth lab was found at the Super Value Inn in Knox on June 2nd.
Police had a warrant for the arrest of Michael Dalton, 50, of Knox, and got word that he was at the motel. Police arrived and saw and man and a woman in the room and learned Dalton was in the room and gained entry. Dalton was in the bathroom and when officers entered the room, they found an active meth lab. The finished product was also found in the room. Dalton was taken into custody on his warrant and he has been charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Chemical Agents or Precursors and Possession of Marijuana. Denise Dalton, 45, and Todd Dalton, 21, were also arrested and charged with the same counts. A search warrant was obtained and the meth lab was seized. The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team was called in to clean up the scene.
Officer Chris Kisela who entered the bathroom where the meth lab was found, was treated and released from IU Health Starke Hospital after he breathed in chemical fumes being produced by the meth lab.
