Nunsense-The Mega Musical Takes to the Stage

Taylor Sears, Becky Lichty and Kathy Overmyer visited the WKVI Studios yesterday to talk about Nunsense-The Mega Musical

The second performance of Nunsense-The Mega Musical will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Argos High School Auditorium. This is the first year the performances will move around. The first five will be at Argos, then there will be two performances in Bremen, two in North Judson, and the final two in the newly remodeled Culver High School Auditorium.

Becky Liechty, the Director of the musical, said a “show on the road” has been challenging.

“It’s been a different year for us,” she said. “We worked out an arrangement with Argos High School so we’re going over there for our six performances. Then, the Bremen High School also offered us their auditorium as well as the North Judson-San Pierre High School. We said what the heck and we’ll take the show on the road.”

“In this musical, Sister Julia, Child of God, is the convent cook and she has made some vichyssoise soup which turns out to be poisonous. 52 sisters die. Believe it or not, this is a comedy…it really is funny. They bury 48 of the 52 sisters and then Reverend Mother buys a Plasma TV for the convent thinking there’s enough money to bury the last four and there isn’t.”

We don’t want to spoil the ending for you, but the play is sure to tickle your funny bone. Ticket prices are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 18 and under.
