The Drama Department of Winamac Community High School will soon proudly present a dinner theatre to start the 2011-2012 school year off on the right foot. Director Patrick Schuttrow was approached by a group of seniors that came up with the idea and wanted to see it happen.
After some deliberation, the group decided to perform Nunsense A-men, a spin-off of the popular Nunsense series composed by Dan Goggin. In this version, the characters are played by men, giving male actors a chance to be part of the fun in this show that has delighted audiences for nearly three decades.
Rehearsals for the show began one week prior to the start of school and will continue through production week. Schuttrow says the group is great to work with, and rehearsals have been “a riot so far.”
Nunsense A-Men will be performed on Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, September 11th. Dinner will be served in the high school cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. featuring chicken as the main course. Dessert will then be served in the Socialtorium at 6:30 p.m., followed by the show at 7:00 p.m. both nights.
Tickets for both the dinner and show will be $10, with a $1 discount for all students. Tickets for the show only will sell for $6. All dinner tickets must be pre-sold by Wednesday, September 7th in the high school office. Show-only tickets will be available at the door. If you would like to pre-order tickets, or want more information, you can reach the high school office at (574) 946-6151.
