Starke County Highway Superintendent, Steve Siddall, and Engineer Ken Minot approached the Starke County Commissioners yesterday to give them an update on three bridge projects.
Siddall was asked if Bridge #156, which is located at Range Road and 400 North, is moving on schedule.
“With what the Commissioners want for fall harvest, we’re right on time,” replied Siddall. “Hopefully, the weather cooperates.”
The project has been projected to take 82 days total. It’s hoped that the farmers can use the bridge for at least part of the harvest season.
Construction on Bridge #9 and Bridge #62 is not scheduled to begin until next year. Ken Minot discussed the progress on those projects.
“We just had the field check. Our staff will determine what they like and what they don’t like and changes we’ll make and changes they want to make. They’ll take it back now to start the final plans and then starting submitting them for the permitting process.”
