The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a dog attack call Thursday. When officers arrived on scene, at 2220 East 200 South in Knox, they saw Marshall Garlach had extensive injuries to his entire body after being attacked by two American Bulldogs.
Garlach told police that he was taking a small child back to a residence after he found the child in his front yard, and as he was leaving, he was attacked by the two dogs. He was transported to IU Health Starke Hospital and later transported to Indianapolis Methodist Hospital for further treatment. The Starke County Humane Society was called to the scene to remove the two dogs and testing will be done on the animals in regards to rabies vaccination.
