An Open House is scheduled for Sunday, October 23rd from 2:00-5:00 p.m. CT at the Washington Township Community Building. Township Trustee, Shelly Kemble said the Open House is an opportunity for you to see all of the improvements.
“We want to show the public what’s been going on,” said Kemble. “If anyone has any old pictures of the Washington Township building when it was being built, the firehouse, or the old Washington Township Elementary School, we would like to make copies of those, enlarge those, and put those as a permanent fixture in the building. We would like to have a new area in ‘new’ building and a new atmosphere.”
There will be surprises throughout the day.
“We’re going to be having drawings for free rentals, half-off rentals, and discounts that day. If you book your rental on the day of the Open House, you will get a discount. Come out and see the new building, what we’ve done to the interior, and the improvements we’ve made. If you have any questions, call (574) 772-7746.”
The Washington Township Community Center is located next to the Firehouse on State Road 23, north of State Road 8 East in Starke County.
