WKVI’s Ed Hasnerl has announced the 2012 tour of Washington, D.C. and Gettysburg Battlefield, scheduled for June 14th through the 18th.
Stops on the five day motor coach tour, in addition to Gettysburg, include the U.S. Capitol, George Washington’s Mount Vernon Plantation home, and the George Washington Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia for a special musical program.
Arrangements have been made to attend Sunday morning worship services at the Washington National Cathedral. A visit to a foreign country’s embassy is planned as is a stop at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery.
Of course, the group will see the Lincoln Memorial, the Iwo Jima Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, World War II Memorial, and many more. You will also see the original Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution at the Archives of the United States.
