North White School Corporation officials sent a request to the West Central School Corporation be a member of West Central’s joint services Co-op for special education services. According to Superintendent Charles Mellon, that request was discussed by the school board officials last week.
“They are currently with the J.E.S.S.E Co-op that is mainly centered in Logansport,” explained Superintendent Charles Mellon. “Geographically, they fit in well and as far as student population, it will not be overwhelming for us. They will join the other eight schools that are currently in the Co-op and that will make us a nine Co-op. The Board did approve that and now it’s up to the North White School Board to go ahead and make their final decision.”
