The West Central School Board discussed some summer projects the Board members have been planning this year.
“One is to refinish our gym floor at the high school,” said Superintendent Charles Mellon. “We had some funding left over from our lighting and ceiling tile project in the gymnasium and that leftover funding will be more than enough to cover the gym floor.”
A major project is planned at the Elementary School.
“We will be replacing the lighting in the classrooms and hallways. We have been working with NIPSCO on this. We got a little bit of a refund on energy conservation by updating our fixtures so we will be putting in the bulbs that are more efficient. That will be a summertime project as well.”
