Starke County and North Judson Police arrested a suspect after a pursuit incident.
On Wednesday, police were attempting to arrest Nickolas Lozzi at a residence on Detroiter Lane in North Judson for two outstanding warrants through Starke Circuit Court and Lake County Court.
When officers arrived on scene, Lozzi took off on a dirt bike. A pursuit began and he wrecked the bike on 250 West. Officers then chased Lozzi on foot until he was apprehended close to State Road 39 and 500 South.
Lozzi was taken into custody on the Body Attachment warrant through Starke Circuit Court and a Failure to Appear warrant out of Lake County. He also faces additional preliminary charges of Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle and Resisting Law Enforcement. Another suspect in the incident, Nicole Lemmar, was also arrested on a preliminary charge of Assisting a Criminal. Lozzi has a $25,000 surety bond and Nicole Lemmar has a $500 cash bond. Both remain in the Starke County Jail.
