The Legacy of Women will hold their spring event Sunday, May 6 at the Knox Middle School. Sherri Bartolli explained that the event will include a number of programs and speakers, as well as prizes and food.
“We have entitled the program ‘Extreme Coupon, More Bang for Your Buck.’ We do have three speakers who are going to be our entertainment this year, plus we will have silent auction baskets, vendors, food and some door prizes,” Bartoli said.
Bartoli explained that the group has been trying to promote leadership for more than five years.
“We began in 2007, and are trying to promote leadership within our county. Hopefully new members will join our group. We do plan two events throughout the year. Usually one is a fun event, and the other is educational,” she said.
The event is from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, with advance tickets priced at $8, and can also be purchased at the door for $10. Tickets are available at 1st Source Bank, First National Bank of Monterey, the Starke County Chamber of Commerce, and the Starke County Library.
