A woman’s hat led to a successful promotion for the Starke County Food Pantry.
Lois Bock noticed a woman’s interesting hat during services at the Eagle Creek Church, and it was that hat that inspired her to organize last week’s Victorian High Tea event.
Of course, her pastor also had something to do with the event, as Bock explained.
“I was sitting in church and noticed that beautiful hat. When I mentioned it to my pastor, Reverend Ed Hasnerl, he said ‘I enjoy pretty hats, too.’ So that’s how it all began,” said Bock.
That led to over 200 ladies dressing in their finest and attending the event last week at the Knox Community Center.
With a twinkle in her eye, Lois mentioned that sometime she would like to do a “Roaring 20’s” event.
