A Grovertown woman was arrested Thursday after a shoplifting incident in Plymouth.
Plymouth police were called to Martins Supermarket on a report of theft. During a search of 35-year-old Sara Hopkins, she was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was given a $1,500 bond.
Later in the day, Plymouth police were called to Walmart for a shoplifting incident. 19-year-old Trisha Mattke of Plymouth was searched and was found to be in possession of stolen items as well as marijuana, and was arrested on preliminary charges of Theft and Possession of Marijuana. She was held under a $1,500 bond.
Her boyfriend, Harley Howel, 18, of Bourbon, who was working at Walmart at the time of the incident, became disruptive during this incident. Police say he continued to use loud offensive language in the presence of customers and was arrested on a preliminary misdemeanor charge of Disorderly Conduct. He was given a $500 bond.
