A Grovertown woman was arrested Wednesday after backing up into a police car during a pursuit incident in Marshall County.
Marshall County officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on U.S. 30 near Tulip Road and 37-year-old Renee Craig, who was wanted on a parole violation, would not stop. As Craig attempted to turn north onto Tulip Road off of US 30, she slid on gravel and left the roadway and drove over a stop sign. She then reportedly backed up her vehicle and struck a vehicle driven by an undercover officer and owned by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
Craig was injured in the accident and was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for treatment before being approved for release to the officer.
In a search of Craig’s vehicle, officers reportedly found evidence of Methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Craig was later transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked on preliminary charges of Dealing/Delivering/Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle Causing Injury and Resisting Law Enforcement-Fleeing.
