A fugitive who has been on the run after a high-speed police chase in Marshall County has been arrested. He was taken into custody after Marshall County officers learned he was at a home in Argos. Around 6:00 p.m. ET last night, police gained consent to enter the property and arrested William Newman. He was wanted on a Marshall County warrant and a felony drug warrant out of Fulton County. On December 11th, deputies attempted to serve outstanding Fulton County warrants on 42-year-old William Newman at a residence in Marshall County but he quickly fled the area, leading deputies on a vehicle pursuit that ended in the area of 4th and Rose roads. The suspect then exited his vehicle and fled on foot. Several police agencies began tracking the suspect, but he eluded police. Newman is now in custody at the Marshall County Jail. Additional charges have not been announced.
